Notice of Upcoming Construction – Blake Street Bridge Replacement

Beginning September 15, 2025, the City of Wray will begin efforts to replace the Blake Street Bridge, located north of 3rd Street (Highway 34). This important infrastructure project is partially funded through the Colorado Department of Transportation’s (CDOT) Off-System Bridge Program.

The following timeline is anticipated for the project:

• Utility Relocation (Beginning September 15, 2025): Relocation of electric utilities to prepare the site for construction. Estimated duration: 14 days.
• Bridge Demolition & Construction (Beginning September 24, 2025): Demolition of the existing bridge and construction of the new structure. Estimated duration: 60 days.

During this time, both vehicle and pedestrian traffic will be detoured away from the bridge site. The city is not anticipating traffic impacts to Highway 34 as a result of this project. A detour map is available below.
