Our Community Collections exhibits are bimonthly displays which provide opportunities for local residents to temporarily showcases their talents and personal collection items for public viewing. These displays are designed to promote the Museum’s mission through engagement with visual arts.
The Wray Museum is honored to announce the opening of the next upcoming Community Collections Exhibit: Prairie Past and Futures, an exhibition with bird houses…that can talk! This multi-media exhibit features birdhouses made by Arikaree, Liberty, and Idalia high school art students. Organized by the local non-profit, the Prairie Cultural Commons, the Prairie Past and Futures exhibition has given local students a new take on the idea of “what is art?” The exhibition is the brainchild of Maureen Hearty, an artist and CCI Creative Corps ARP awardee, who lives in Joes. Catch the display during normal museum hours September 6 - October 22!
