Weekend of September 15-16th 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Beecher Island
Join us at the Wray Museum on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 10:00 to 11:00 am. R & R is an informal gathering for coffee and conversation. The purpose is to share and gather information. This year the topic of conversation with center around the school in Yuma County. Here is a list of 2018 R & R Dates. Watch the calendar for specific area schools. If you would like to participate in this ongoing project but cannot attend coffee hour, please contacts us.
The Wray Genealogy Group meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 1 p.m. at the Wray Museum for workshops and a chance for participants to trace their family tree. These workshops are open to the public. Anyone interested in learning about oral history, tracing their family heritage, or just learning more about genealogy are encouraged to attend.
Valentine's Day Tea
The Museum hosts an annual Valentine's Tea as a way to start the year. This year tea is Remembering the Titanic with Molly Brown. This event is family friendly and is sponsored by the East Yuma County Historical Society. Check out the City of Wray Events Calendar for more information.
Reflections In Stone
Enjoy an afternoon strolling through Grandview Cemetery and learn histories from the descendants of some of our local families buried in Wray, Colorado. Hear tales of traditions, hardships, and delights. Come revel in the recollections of the past as we seek our Reflections in Stone. Check out the City of Wray Events Calendar for more information.
Quilts of the Plains & Alumni Weekend
The Museum partners with the Wray Chamber of Commerce to host the Quilts of the Plains. Vintage quilts, small quilts, wall hangings, and miscellaneous items are displayed at the Museum. The Museum is open extended hours for this special event.
A Peek Into the Past
Join us for a living history event held in the fall. Local actors portray past residents who have impacted the area. Discover our local heritage during this educational and engaging event.
